Warranty Policy

OFFICIAL LIMITED WARRANTY & SERVICE POLICY (INDIA) Effective for Products Sold in India

This Limited Manufacturer Warranty ("Warranty") is issued by M/s Irvine Technologies Pvt. Ltd., having its registered office at Z-35, Okhla, Phase-II, New Delhi-110020 (hereinafter referred to as "IRVINE" or "Company").

This Warranty applies strictly to genuine IRVINE branded products sold through authorised distributors, dealers, and channel partners within India.

1. Warranty Commencement & Validity

Warranty Start Date

Warranty shall commence from whichever is earlier:

  • The Date of Manufacturing (as per serial number database maintained by IRVINE), OR
  • The Date of First Tax Invoice issued by IRVINE to its Authorised Distributor / Dealer / Branch Office

If valid proof of purchase is unavailable or the invoice is disputed, the manufacturing date recorded in IRVINE's ERP/serial database shall be treated as final and binding.

2. SSD Warranty Policy (Series-Wise Clarification)

2.1 SSD Series — Launched Prior to June 2023

All SSDs manufactured and sold before June 2023 carry a 3-Year Limited Warranty.

2.2 SSD Series — Launched From June 2023 Onwards

Capacity Warranty Period
128GB 5 Years
256GB 5 Years
512GB 5 Years

All SSDs manufactured under the new generation series from June 2023 onward carry a 5-Year Limited Warranty, subject to terms herein.

Warranty period is determined strictly by serial number verification, Seal, Hologram, and internal product classification records maintained by IRVINE.

3. Stock Holding Policy (Channel Protection Clause)

To protect the brand from misuse and excessive unsold stock claims:

  • Warranty runs from manufacturing date / first invoice date, not from resale date to end-user.
  • IRVINE may provide up to 30 days goodwill buffer for channel stock holding, at its sole discretion.
  • If products remain unsold beyond 60 days at Distributor / Dealer / Branch level, warranty shall continue as per manufacturing date without extension.
  • Invoice-based warranty beyond policy terms is not valid unless officially documented by IRVINE Corporate Office.

4. Courier / Shipping Charges

If a product needs to be sent to our service centre for inspection or warranty service:

  • The customer is responsible for one-side courier/shipping charges when sending the product to the service centre.
  • After the product is repaired or replaced, the company will bear the return courier charges to deliver the product back to the customer's address.

5. Nature of Warranty

This is a Limited Repair / Replacement Warranty. IRVINE, at its sole discretion, will:

  • Repair the defective product, OR
  • Replace with an equivalent / refurbished product, OR
  • Provide a technically equivalent model

No refund obligation exists unless mandated under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 by a competent authority.

6. What Is Covered

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Hardware failure under normal usage
  • Functional malfunction not caused by external factors

Warranty applies only to genuine IRVINE products bearing:

  • Valid Serial Number
  • Untampered Hologram
  • Original Security Seal
  • Official Tax Invoice issued by Irvine / Dealer / Distributor / Re-seller

7. What Is Not Covered (Strict Exclusions)

Warranty shall be void if:

  • Serial number is tampered / removed / unreadable
  • Physical damage, burn marks, or liquid damage
  • Electrical surge, improper voltage, or short circuit
  • Use in mining, server farms, or industrial stress beyond consumer specifications (unless enterprise rated)
  • Firmware alteration or third-party modification
  • Natural disasters, fire, flood, or war
  • Negligent handling or improper installation
  • Product opened or repaired by an unauthorised person
  • Product is beyond the warranty period from its first invoice date to Distributor / Dealer

Normal wear and tear is not covered.

8. Data Loss Disclaimer

IRVINE is not responsible for:

  • Data loss
  • Data corruption
  • Recovery costs
  • Business interruption
  • Consequential financial loss

Users must maintain regular backups at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted under Indian law, IRVINE shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect damages
  • Loss of business
  • Loss of profits
  • Loss of goodwill
  • Loss of opportunity
  • Loss of revenue

Liability, if any, shall not exceed the original invoice value of the product.

10. Consumer Protection Act Compliance

This warranty:

  • Does not override statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019
  • Is independent of implied warranties under the Sale of Goods Act
  • Applies strictly to manufacturing defects

12. RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) Process

  • Product must be submitted with a valid RMA number
  • Proof of purchase may be required
  • Without a valid invoice, manufacturing date shall be considered
  • IRVINE reserves the right to inspect before approving any claim
  • Out-of-Warranty (OOW) cases shall be chargeable

If any dealer / distributor:

  • Circulates false allegations
  • Makes incorrect warranty commitments
  • Misrepresents company policy
  • Damages brand goodwill

IRVINE reserves the right to:

  • Terminate dealership
  • Initiate legal action
  • Seek compensation for reputational harm

14. Governing Law

This warranty is governed by the laws of India. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.

15. Brand Commitment

The terms stated herein supersede all previous warranty representations, verbal commitments, dealer assurances, or promotional claims unless expressly approved in writing by IRVINE Corporate Office.

IRVINE reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this policy in compliance with applicable laws of India without prior notice.

  • The warranty summary table from page 6 of the PDF was placed as its own dedicated section for clarity
